We strive to empower people to use their gifts, talents, passions, and ideas to accomplish the mission of connecting UM students to Jesus. We believe volunteers bring unique benefits through their experiences, skills, and freedom to focus. For those who volunteer with us, we commit to pursue clear communication with truth and grace, to collaborate &amp; design experiences that equip your life as a whole, to receive and give feedback, to hold each other accountable, to operate with reasonable flexibility, and to encourage and appreciate volunteer efforts. (Ephesians 4:1-16)<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Volunteer Opportunities:\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li><i>Ongoing<\/i>: Large group weekly meeting, Small groups, discipleship<\/li>\n<li><i>Short term<\/i>: building partnerships between Cru and community, planning &amp; logistics for events (women\u2019s\/men\u2019s getaways, vision dinner, fall retreat, holiday celebrations, socials, outreaches), design, marketing.<\/li>\n<li><i>One-time<\/i>: Day-of events (tabling, food, worship, rides, prayer, decor, mailings, etc)<\/li>\n<li><i>Periodic<\/i>: mentoring students, marketing, large group weekly mtg, event-specific roles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Volunteer Benefits:\n<ul>\n<li>Outlet for creativity and side hobbies<\/li>\n<li>Invest in eternal significance (relationships)<\/li>\n<li>Discover ways God has gifted you and ways to steward your gifts<\/li>\n<li>Build skills that carryover &amp; prepare you for career, family, and friendships<\/li>\n<li>Receive Truth &amp; Grace feedback on skills to promote skill development<\/li>\n<li>A Team of friends to share goals, hardships, and celebrations<\/li>\n<li>Mentorship\/Mentoring<\/li>\n<li>Free Food<\/li>\n<li>Equipping through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cru.org\/communities\/campus-winterconference\/\">conferences<\/a>, trainings, &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cru.org\/us\/en\/opportunities\/mission-trips\/summer.html\">mission trips<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Some volunteer positions require an application or interview to assess best fit and if our partnership will provide a mutually beneficial dynamic.
