A Heart of Thanks

I want to express my sincere thanks to God the Father, my Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

First, I want to thank God for healing my husband’s heart disease. He had acute heart failure in November 2023, and we went back to Taiwan to receive treatment. He lost 50 pounds of water after treatment, and he was healed and recovered. God gave him a new life to serve Him. Our Lord is a healer.

Second, I want to thank the Lord, who has blessed my academic work and has given me good teaching evaluations. I am weak, and He is strong. I am poor, and He is rich. “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Isaiah 40:29). “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

Third, thanks be to the Lord who gave our family Rosie, my granddaughter.

“Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring are a reward from him” (Psalm 127:3).

Fourth, thanks be to the Lord for the Chinese Church of the Greater Tri-Cities. I have been worshiping there from August 2022 until now, and I have been satisfied in my physical, mental, and spiritual life. I learned to love God and love one another. Special thanks for the pastors because they put a lot of effort into this church.

“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.

And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself’” (Matthew 22:37-39).

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1Thessalonians 5:16-18).

What are you thankful for?
