(breathe out)<br \/>\n(breathe in) Thank God for how he has made you. (breathe out)<br \/>\n(breathe in) Thank God for how you are connected with him. (breathe)\n<p>breathe&#8230;.<\/p>\n\t<p>Now take thank God for his word, and for the opportunity to learn from him, pray that his Spirit works through us and that we are able to hear what he wants us to here.<\/p>\n<p>Now lets read Ephesians 2.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tBIBLE \n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>(this reading section is around three minute long)<\/p>\n\t<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Ephesians+2&amp;version=ESV\">Ephesians 2 (ESV)<\/a><br \/>\nFROM BIBLEGATEWAY.COM<\/h4>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>By Grace Through Faith<\/h3>\n<p>1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins<\/p>\n<p>2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience\u2014<\/p>\n<p>3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.<\/p>\n<p>4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,<\/p>\n<p>5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ\u2014by grace you have been saved\u2014<\/p>\n<p>6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,<\/p>\n<p>7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,<\/p>\n<p>9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.<\/p>\n<p>10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.<\/p>\n\t<h3>One in Christ<\/h3>\n<p><sup>11\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called \u201cthe uncircumcision\u201d by what is called\u00a0the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands\u2014<\/p>\n<p><sup>12\u00a0<\/sup>remember\u00a0that you were at that time separated from Christ,\u00a0alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to\u00a0the covenants of promise,\u00a0having no hope and without God in the world.<\/p>\n<p><sup>13\u00a0<\/sup>But now in Christ Jesus you who once were\u00a0far off have been brought near\u00a0by the blood of Christ.<\/p>\n<p><sup>14\u00a0<\/sup>For\u00a0he himself is our peace,\u00a0who has made us both one and has broken down\u00a0in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility<\/p>\n<p><sup>15\u00a0<\/sup>by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in\u00a0ordinances, that he might create in himself one\u00a0new man in place of the two, so making peace,<\/p>\n<p><sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>and might\u00a0reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.<\/p>\n<p><sup>17\u00a0<\/sup>And he came and\u00a0preached peace to you who were\u00a0far off and peace to those who were\u00a0near.<\/p>\n<p><sup>18\u00a0<\/sup>For\u00a0through him we both have\u00a0access in\u00a0one Spirit to the Father.<\/p>\n<p><sup>19\u00a0<\/sup>So then you are no longer\u00a0strangers and aliens,\u00a0but you are\u00a0fellow citizens with the saints and\u00a0members of the household of God,<\/p>\n<p><sup>20\u00a0<\/sup>built on the foundation of the\u00a0apostles and prophets,\u00a0Christ Jesus himself being\u00a0the cornerstone,<\/p>\n<p><sup>21\u00a0<\/sup>in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into\u00a0a holy temple in the Lord.<\/p>\n<p><sup>22\u00a0<\/sup>In him\u00a0you also are being built together\u00a0into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tPRAY\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>(this prayer section is around four minute long)<\/p>\n\t<h4>TAKE A MOMENT AND SIT IN SILENCE.<br \/>\nREAD THE PASSAGE AGAIN.<\/h4>\n<h2>\n\t\tRESPOND\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>(this response section is around twelve minutes long)<\/p>\n\t<h4>AFTER REREADING THE TEXT ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS<\/h4>\n<h6>(your answer will not be submitted or saved, these are dummy boxes and are just used for you to process the devotional,<br \/>\nif you have paper or a journal use that instead)<\/h6>\n\t<p><strong>What sticks out to you in this passage?<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\n\t<textarea>answer here<\/textarea>\n\n\t<p><strong>Describe a time when the lavish mercy and grace of God became real to you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\n\t<textarea>answer here<\/textarea>\n\n\t<p>v8 says that it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you actually believe that? If you were to die today, what percentage would you be going to heaven? THIS VERSE tells us that we are saved by Grace, not by what we do. As creatures, we are made to serve our Creator. In the absence of truth, we will serve somebody or something. It\u2019s an essential part of our nature. Our only choice is this: whom will we serve? At one time, we all served sin and grew weak under its deadly power over us. Now, through God\u2019s grace, we have become servants of obedience that sets us right with God, each other, and ourselves. We must daily decide whose servant we are and offer Him our hands, our feet, our hearts, our eyes.
