Dominican Republic – Filter of Hope

This Mission is Intended for Black Middle School and High School Students.

Location

The Dominican Republic is a country in the Caribbean Sea. It shares an island with Haiti and is located just 2 hours south of Miami. It is a beautiful island with nearly 1,000 miles of coastline and pristine beaches. It also showcases beautiful mountains, famous athletes, and lively music, which attracts visitors. Dominicans are known for their happiness and positivity. They often find joy in everyday life. People in the DR have a remarkable ability to turn hardships into sources of joy. They are generally warm and welcoming, often helping one another and even strangers.

What Will We Be Doing?

Our team will spend 2.5-3.5 days distributing water filters and sharing the gospel with families in groups. We will meet families living without easy access to clean drinking water, provide them with life-changing access to clean drinking water for the next 10 years, and share the true ‘living water’ of Jesus. We are also exploring the possibility of doing youth ministry with students during the trip.
