Zimbabwe is a landlocked country situated in Southern Africa. It is a country rich in natural views, diverse wildlife, and dramatic landscapes, including Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. Zimbabwe is predominantly savanna with generous tree growth. With a population of nearly 16 million people, it has more official languages than any other country. The city of Gweru is located in central Zimbabwe. It’s an important industrial and commercial hub known for its agricultural activities and military institutions. Youth make up a large portion of the population in the city of Gweru.
As part of this team, you’ll travel to the dynamic city of Gweru, where you’ll have the incredible opportunity to build lasting friendships with Zimbabwean students. You will engage with students by speaking in classrooms, at school assemblies, and during campus outreach events. You’ll have the unique opportunity to share your life experiences, engage in meaningful conversations, and fully immerse yourself in the rich Zimbabwean culture.
You’ll not only share what life is like as a student in the U.S., but also listen, learn, and grow through the stories and experiences of those you meet. You’ll work alongside local staff, encouraging new believers and helping ignite spiritual movements on high school campuses. This is more than a trip; it’s a powerful opportunity to make an eternal impact with Zimbabwean students. As you step out in faith, your own spiritual journey will be stretched and strengthened.
There’s even more! You’ll also play a vital role in bringing clean water and renewed hope to families in need. By assisting with the installation of water filters in homes, you’ll provide a fundamental necessity while sharing the transformative message of God’s love and forgiveness. Every interaction is a chance to connect, pray with families, and embody Christ’s compassion.
