Nearly 3 million Venezuelan refugees have come across the border to Colombia, seeking opportunity, safety, and hope. A large percentage of them are now trying to make a new life in the capital city, Bogotá. These individuals often suffer from food insecurity and overcrowded living situations, with 91% of those employed earning less than the minimum wage.
But God gives us a unique opportunity to come alongside churches and local organizations reaching out in tangible and spiritual ways to show the love of Christ to these neighbors.
Join Immigrants, Internationals and Refugees (IIR), a Cru ministry, as we pioneer and partner with City Global Colombia staff and college students to be the hands and feet of Jesus to people who have fled their homes in search of stability. This will be a multi-faceted trip where we will work with churches to engage with refugees and spend time on university campuses in Bogotá having spiritual conversations with students. This is an incredible opportunity for Spanish speakers to join us as we live out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission among immigrants and refugees.
