High school can be exciting and intimidating all at once. For Christina, it came with an extra layer of uncertainty. After moving into foster care at age 10 and later being adopted, she learned what it meant to trust and build relationships again. Finding Cru as a freshman gave her a place to belong and a chance to talk about faith with people who genuinely cared.
Trust doesn't come easy, especially when you've been through some of the things that I have.
Last year, she traveled to Hungary with Cru, where she saw how students across the world struggle with the same insecurities—pressure to fit in, stress over school, and the search for identity. Talking with Hungarian students about faith helped Christina realize that if God could use her there, He could use her anywhere. Jeremiah 29:11 reminded her that God not only loves her, He wants to lead her.
Now, Christina’s leading a Bible study for her cross-country team, encouraging others to see how God can use them in everyday spaces. Her heart is to remind younger girls that they’re never alone—because God is always with them and can change their lives just like He changed hers.
